Why we're #1
Structure
The sewing techniques used in Kafka's Original Kool Tie are designed
to give the user the strongest, longest lasting, most attractive and
comfortable to wear product available.
All sewing is done by contract
seamstresses rather than a factory so that we maintain the highest level of
quality control. Four interlocking threads comprise the main tube
seam--most of the "Brand X's" consist of a single straight stitch. The tube
closing stitch is a triple straight stretch stitch (3-threads per stitch)
used also in swimwear because of it's strength. "Brand X's" use a single
thread zig-zag or manually back stitch, which can weaken the integrity of
the fabric itself. Tie ends are finished with a 3-thread rolled hem, both
for strength and visual appeal. Tie tips are treated with a sealant to
prevent fraying.
